Code Names for Two (not Duet)

Do you own a copy of Code Names but sometimes find yourself with just one other human? No need to buy a whole other version or play with the limited version included in the rules. Try these rules instead:

Choose two grid cards, one of each color. Players will use the secondary color (only 8 cards per color in the box) for giving clues. Both players may cover up the same word. That’s fine. Each player still has a black word that they must avoid. The neutral color becomes a two-part risk. If either player uncovers a bystander, a neutral card is placed next to the grid. If another bystander is targeted the game is over.

Play can be in a specific number of turns (Duet uses tokens for this) or players can agree to only give clues with a number 2 or greater when possible.
